Acroyoga for 3 (AcroYoga Biblio)

Acroyoga is not just for two persons, it can be practised with many more. Despite that there are not so many information and people practising with more experience, the combination of poses and figures that can be done is astonishing. In this case, we bring you examples of poses that can be done with just three persons. Some of them will work as a base, as a flyer or even doing both things at the same time. Enjoy, be creative and spread the word and love of acroyoga.

If you are more persons and want to try some poses together, visit our post: more than 3 acroyogis (see post).

  • Standing Front Bird: the main base will hold two-person weight, only having contact with one acroyogi and doing the Front Plank. The second person will do as a flyer a Front Plank and be the base of the third acroyogi. This last one will do standing in the sacrum of the second base, looking for a comfortable position. To go into the pose the easiest is to use the momentum to lift both flyers from the ground into Front Plan and from there the second flyer can stand slowly up.

Difficulty level (1 very low to 5 very high): 3

  • Double Straddle Throne: in this one, we have one base and two flyers. The main challenge here will be for the base not only to hold the weight of both flyers, this is not so difficult since the weight is distributed among the arms and legs, but more challenging will be coordinating and balancing all the libs at the same time. the muscle intelligence here will be very important since just one centimetre could mean the end of the pose. Usually, it is easier to start with the Straddle Throne and the with the Floating Straddle Throne.

Difficulty level (1 very low to 5 very high): 3
